Just because a Romney win is a foregone conclusion doesn’t mean the Nevada Caucus can’t be exciting! The caucuses close at random times, but we should begin seeing results around 8 PM CST. Be sure to bookmark this page and check back often for breaking news. 3:00- Check out my sage-like Nevada caucus predictions. I’m batting 1,000 right now, so hopefully Ron Paul outperforms like I think he will.

3:50- Some unofficial numbers out that show Romney around 60%, with Gingrich and Paul somewhere in the mid/upper teens. Hesitant to put too much stock in these, but that’s the word.

4:05- Gingrich’s mysterious press conference tonight following the Nevada caucus sure is creating a buzz. Will or won’t he drop out? I would be SHOCKED if he dropped out now, considering he just launched his “46 to go” campaign and is still positioned well nationally.

6:25- Those in Nevada report truly horrible turnout in Washoe County. Just over half of 2008 turnout. What gives, GOP? We’re trying to take down the Barack Obama machine, not campaign for county dog catcher. Act like you care!

6:35- With Gingrich’s spokesperson saying definitively that he is still in it no matter what Nevada holds, what will he say during his 10 PM CST press conference? Given Gingrich’s track record, it’s sure to be interesting.

7:30- With 5% reporting, it’s Romney at 38%, Paul at 30%, Gingrich at 20%, and Santorum at 13%. Of course, that will all change drastically when metropolitan areas begin reporting.

8:15- Results slowly trickling in and Ron Paul is still doing well. 6%:

Mitt Romney- 38%
Ron Paul- 28%
Newt Gingrich- 22%
Rick Santorum- 13%

8:40- Just saw that the Bunny Ranch (Huge Nevada brothel) has endorsed Ron Paul. That’s a frightening prospect.

9:00- No surprise, the race is instantly called for Mitt Romney. Second place should be interesting.

9:30- 19% Reporting

Mitt Romney- 42%
Newt Gingrich- 25%
Ron Paul- 20%
Rick Santorum- 13%

9:40- Mitt Romney and family have taken the stage. As has become typical with Romney, he’ll stick to criticism’s of Obama and pleasantries when it comes to his GOP competition. That is until he unloads millions of dollars in negative ads.

10:20- Newt Gingrich has taken the stage for his press conference. In the first few minutes, clears the air that he WILL be in the race until the convention. Woohoo!
